Reclamation and decommissioning had been carried out by Norcope. The project scope includes dismantling and hauling entire mine site, excavation and carrying huge volume of earthworks, reclamation of settling ponds, handling hazardous materials. The project cost was 2.00 million CAD.
Dismantling of 3-story steel structure buildings was incredibly tricky project, and came with a lot of risk. All of the dismantled materials had to be hauled from Brewery Creek to Mexico, USA and dumped. Norcope finished this project within 4 months – one month ahead of schedule without any accidents or injuries.
